Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’re unsure where to start with your child, you can always book a tutoring session where I’ll conduct an in-depth assessment so you know exactly where to begin. Like a dentist finding hidden cavities, I specialize in identifying knowledge gaps that cause confusion and hinder a brilliant, hard-working child from solidifying a tricky concept. When a child understands the big picture, all the pieces fall into place. This is how I turn “😩 I suck at math” into “😏 I GOT this!”

I assess all my new tutoring students. The assessment shows:

    📈 Child’s proficiency level

💪 Strengths and areas for improvement

🔍 Knowledge gaps that may be hindering progress

🤔 How your child approaches math

💙 Ideas to help your child love math

This thorough evaluation provides essential insights into your child’s understanding of math. For instance, a student struggling with carry-overs might be dealing with gaps in place value, or even organization that are hindering their ability to progress. Knowing where your child is allows me to plan the best route to take them where they want to be.

I design assessments to be a non-judgmental experience. I clarify to your child that it is about understanding where they are and is NEVER about criticism.
